Protecting your energy isn’t about shutting down—it’s about staying sovereign, clear, and aligned so you can show up fully without being depleted.
Are You an Empath? Here’s How to Tell
Empaths are emotional transceivers—they pick up, interpret, and sometimes even alchemise the emotions of others. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed in a crowd, emotionally drained after a conversation, or physically affected by someone else’s pain, you may be an empath.
Common signs include:
Absorbing emotions like a sponge
Feeling drained after social interactions
Experiencing physical symptoms from others’ pain
Having strong gut feelings or intuitive hits
Sensitivity to media, noise, and chaotic environments
Struggling to separate your emotions from others’
Feeling called to help or heal, even when it’s exhausting
Why Empaths Feel So Much
Empaths have porous, energetic boundaries, which means their auric field allows emotional and energetic data to flow in easily. This sensitivity is often linked to:
Mirror neurons that mimic others’ emotional states
Electromagnetic resonance between heart fields
Vagus nerve sensitivity, which connects gut, heart, and brain
Energetic entrainment, syncing with dominant emotional frequencies

Here’s a daily toolkit to help you stay energetically clear and spiritually protected:
1. Grounding Rituals (Start of the Day)
Begin your day by grounding into your own energy. Visualise roots going deep into the earth, anchoring you. This helps distinguish your energy from others and stops you from being swept into external chaos.
2. Morning Boundaries Practice
Create a boundary mantra: ‘I allow only energies of love, peace and alignment to enter my space today.’
3. Energetic Shielding Throughout the Day
Use a white or golden light shield. Imagine a soft bubble of light around you—not a wall, but a filter—letting in what nourishes you and gently deflecting what doesn’t.
4. Regular Energy Clearings
At the end of your day, take five minutes to sweep off external energy. You can do this through dry brushing, a salt bath, or simply placing your hands over your heart and saying: ‘I return all energy that is not mine to the source with love.’
5. Social Filters
As empaths, we sometimes think we have to fix or emotionally support everyone. You don’t. Set the intention: ‘I can witness without absorbing.’
6. Conscious Consumption
Limit exposure to emotionally intense media. Give yourself permission to say no to energy that doesn’t align.
